FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of silica, soda, potash, and other salts, and, particularly, to evaporation of solutions in tubular evaporators. Method comprises steam-heating of solution accompanied by removal of condensate and withdrawal of concentrated solution with salt crystals and secondary steam from separator of tubular evaporator, a part of condensate, in particular, 0.3-2% of its total volume, being injected into vapor space of separator in the form of fine splashes. Application of method leads to increased between stops required for scour of tubes to 40 days and decreased number of clogged tubes up to 10%, obtaining of pure condensate for return on heating-and-power plant after separator devoid of drop catcher, increased steam usage efficiency due to increased heat transfer and eliminated resistance of clogging drop catchers, and reduced specific consumption of steam per 1 t evaporated water from 0.62 to 0.33 t/t.
