FIELD: forestry and wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: band saw frame has saw blade tensioning device positioned on sawing unit of band saw frame and made in the form of telescopic carrier guides arranged in parallel with one another. Carrier guides have supporting ends connected to drive and tensioning pulleys. Casing of band saw frame, feeding table and base are made from hollow members. Casing is mounted on base by means of inclined side columns connected to one another. Drive is arranged at the top or at the bottom part of drive pulley. EFFECT: reduced material usage and labor intensity for manufacture of band saw frame. 21 cl, 4 dwg
