FIELD: devices for sawing of timbers by band saws.

SUBSTANCE: the band sawing machine has a frame with slides moving on guides, the slides are installed for vertical motion, closed saw bands pulled in the area of sawing, band-transport mechanisms rigidly attached to the slides. The saw bands are located in different levels adjusted in height at an angle of 30 deg relative to the longitudinal axis of the log, welded in pairs in the form of figure eight and pulled up on rollers, the tooth points are positioned at a distance of not more than 50 mm from the centres of the rollers pulling the saw.

EFFECT: provided cutting of timbers in the conditions close to planing, which considerably reduces the electric power consumption in machine service, and makes it possible to install two and more saws.
