FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises decomposition of aluminate solutions by mixing them with carbon dioxide-containing flue gases, separation of liquid from particles of formed aluminum hydroxide, processing of liquid phase into soda product and solid phase into target hydrate and silica. Concentration of aluminate solutions varies 70.1 and 79 g/l. Mixing of aluminate solutions with gases is performed according to condition: T°Cs/αcm = 33-44, which reduces by the end of carbonization to 18-24, where T°Cs denotes temperature of aluminate solution and αcm its caustic modulus. EFFECT: improved quality of aluminum hydroxide and silica regarding their dispersion composition due to increased strength of aggregates. 2 tbl, 2 ex
