FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: calcium chloride is prepared in fluidized-bed apparatus, in which fluidization is created by flue gas flow at 150-200 C and flow velocity 2.5-3.0 m/s. Calcium chloride solution is sprayed onto calcium chloride granules formed in fluidized bed. Starting 30-32% calcium chloride solution is adjusted to concentration 38-45 C by evaporation and additional dissolution of dusty fractions taken out of drying apparatus. Evaporation is accomplished at the expense of heat supplied by leaving gases from wet dust cleaning. Thus obtained calcium chloride is further subjected to dehydration and crystallization. EFFECT: achieved uniform granulometric composition, increased strength of granules, and reduced moisture content at considerable lesser loss of dust. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 10 ex
