FIELD: cables. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to conduct operations and investigations in oil and gas wells. Geophysical coaxial cable includes central current-conducting conductor made of lays of copper wire, current-carrying copper braiding and two-lay wire armoring insulated one from another. Central current-conducting conductor has cross-section not less than 1.5 sq mm and equal to area of cross-section of current-carrying braiding. Ratio of cable components is determined by certain formula. Design of geophysical coaxial cable makes it possible to ensure transmission of high electric power which enables functional potential of cable to be expanded thanks to its use in the capacity of both measurement ( signal ) and power cable. EFFECT: expanded functional potential of coaxial cable. 1 dwg
