FIELD: horticulture. SUBSTANCE: hand-held tillage tool has blade, whose front surface is positioned at an angle of from 15 deg to 90 deg with respect to first plane drawn in parallel with main cutting edge and with longitudinal axis of shank at portion gripped by worker's hand, and main cutting edge is positioned at an angle of from 15 deg to 130 deg with respect to plane drawn perpendicular to first plane. Openings in shank adapted for receiving blade and shank connecting parts are arranged so that line drawn through their centers is positioned at an angle of 0-90 deg to longitudinal axis of shank. Total area of sections of blade and shank connecting parts and total area of blade and shank openings adapted for attachment of blade to shank are in compliance with formula: A≤Б/2, where A is total area of sections of blade and shank connecting parts; Б is total area of blade and shank openings adapted for attachment of blade to shank. Such construction enhances reliability of tillage tool due to improved arrangement of front surface of blade relative to shank longitudinal axis depending on worker's height, and also due to continuous adjustment of such arrangement, and imparts certain properties to blade, which produce amending effect upon soil. EFFECT: simplified construction, increased wear-resistance of cutting edges and improved quality of soil. 51 cl, 48 dwg
