FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, feed production. SUBSTANCE: vertical mixer has cylindrical casing 1, mixing device mounted inside cylindrical casing 1 on shaft 2 in axially aligned relationship therewith, and blades 3 and 4 arranged in tiers on shaft 2. Dry bulk feed components are charged into cylindrical casing 1 through open cover 5. Part of shaft 2 is made in the form of tube with radial openings 8. Upper tier of blades 3 is positioned under openings 8. Liquid feed component is charged into casing 1 through said tube. Lower part of casing 1 is made conical. Ends of blades 4 are beveled to mate with conical part of casing 1. Openings 9 are formed on outer halves of blades 3 and 4. Ready mixture is discharged through branch pipe 11 equipped with valve 12. Openings 8 in tube and openings 9 in blades are arranged in staggered pattern. Lower part of casing 1 and ends of lower tier of blades are beveled at an angle α of 18-31 deg to vertical plane. EFFECT: increased efficiency in mixing bulk and liquid feed components of different volumetric weight and improved quality of prepared feed. 3 cl, 2 dwg
