FIELD: mechanical engineering; starting aids for internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed device is placed in engine sump and encloses oil intake. Device consists of lower and upper current collecting plates arranged in parallel and secured by dielectric screw. Posistors placed inside dielectric lining are arranged off-center being tightly pressed to plates. Minus terminal is connected to plate by bolt, and plus terminal is connected to plate by wire through insulator. Ports provide better mixing of upper and lower layers of oil in sump. Invention makes it possible to decrease temperature and viscosity nonuniformly of heated oil and increases efficiency of posistors owing to increased heat exchange surface. EFFECT: improved heating of oil. 2 dwg
