FIELD: transport engineering; devices facilitating start of internal combustion engine at low ambient temperature.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes electric calorifier, centrifugal fan, supply and discharge air ducts which embrace closed electric calorifier-cooling jacket loop; mounted in electric calorifier body are self-controlled heating elements which are received by slots in lower part of dielectric frame and are held with clamps in its upper part. Self-controlled heating elements are made from current-conducting plates with posistors arranged in between them; posistors are tightened up with the aid of dielectric bolts.
EFFECT: enhanced operational and economical efficiency in pre-start preparation of engine at low ambient temperature.
