FIELD: aviation and spacecraft. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine contains housing and powerful pulse laser whose beam is directed to base of cone of prism made of quartz glass and is divided into two beams which reflect from inner mirrors of said prism and pass in reverse side as compared with initial incidence of beam after which beams get to side mirrors and, reflecting from guide mirrors, pass outwards into surrounding space through holes in which output glasses are fitted. According to other design version, engines is provided with additional housing which accommodates turbofan to deliver atmospheric air. Said air, through turbocompressor, filter, and automatic valve in housing base cools laser by passing through air aftercompression chamber and automatic valve and gets to generator turbine. Then air passes to nozzle consisting of great number of orifices and is discharged outwards into sorrounding space as additional propelling force, thus creating reactive thrust. EFFECT: possibility of creating new engine for high speed space and aerospace craft and aircraft of vertical takeoff and landing. 3 cl, 2 dwg
