FIELD: geology, mining industry. SUBSTANCE: equipment to record and process digital images of bored cores coming in the form of plate has digital camera, light source and computer to convert information to digital form, to process and store digital data and to set digital camera into specified position automatically. Equipment also includes frame structure with table for attachment of bored core in the form of plate. Digital camera is positioned together with light source above table on common carriage mounted for movement along rails installed in upper part of frame structure for constant radiation of light at angle with respect to bored core. Light source incorporates two sources of day light and two sources of ultraviolet light. All mentioned light sources are mounted for possible change of incidence angle of light.
