FIELD: geology; data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geology. Device for recording and processing digital images of drill cores comprises several digital cameras with interchangeable lenses capturing an image of the core in the ranges of visible, ultraviolet, near and far infrared light, light sources of a corresponding wavelength range and other optical devices forming a three-dimensional image of the core mounted on a movable carriage, computer for converting resultant images into digital form, with the ability to process, store digital data and automatically control the device. Frame is made in the form of a table equipped with rotating steel rolls, driven by a stepper motor, controlled by using the computer and serving for rotating the drill cylindrical core attached to the frame of vertical racks with a rail system enabling vertical movement of the movable carriage with digital cameras, other optical devices and light sources by using a screw pair driven by the stepper motor controlled by the computer. Movable carriage is movable by rail systems along two axes in a horizontal plane, realized through the use of screw pairs, driven by stepper motors, controlled by the computer. Light sources comprises LED sources of visible, ultraviolet, near and far infrared light, and other optical devices are a confocal laser scanning microscope module, a laser range finder.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of expert determination of the physical parameters of the drill core based on the analysis of digital images.
