FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves suppressing peat, forest fires by means of specially designed fire-suppressing plastic aerial bombs equipped with tail assembly embraced with plastic sheet hoop. Tail assembly is inclined with respect to bomb axis at an angle of 30 deg and during flying to ground surface after dropping bomb from platform provides for high-power rotation of bomb around its axis. Method allows screw-spin made from hard plastic and disposed in screw part of fire-suppressing aerial bomb to penetrate deep into peat upon coming into contact with peat surface. EFFECT: increased efficiency in suppressing fire at substantial depth. 2 dwg
