FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: aerosol generator has axially mounted initiation unit and pyrotechnic compound charge, which is located through gypsum filled gap in perforated casing aligned with receiver communicated with receiver annular channel between coaxial heat-exchanger made in the form of double enclosure filled with gypsum. Inner enclosure is provided with communication openings. Double enclosure is fixed on protruding end of casing of cover communicated with atmosphere. Cover is made in the form of double-layer sleeve with gypsum gasket. Internal perforated surface of sleeve embraces heat-exchanger so as to define annular exit channel oriented in opposite direction. Aerosol generator of such construction provides for additional cooling of generated gas-aerosol mixture and defines labyrinth-type catch for hot condensed phase of mixture inside generator. Said mixture is directed onto object to be protected from fire. Generators may be mounted in independent fire-suppression systems, as well as in automatic and manual fire-suppression systems, or may be used as part of stationary fire-suppression unit. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities and increased efficiency. 1 dwg
