FIELD: rolling equipment, possibly manufacture of rolling rolls. SUBSTANCE: prestressed buildup rolling roll includes arbor having non-driven and driven journals, bead and threaded portion; band fit onto arbor with guaranteed gap and engaging with bead of arbor; locking nut placed on threaded portion of arbor and resting upon other end of band. On end surfaces of band there are additional annular turnings. On joined end surfaces of arbor bead and locking nut there are annular protrusions. Inner diameter of annular protrusions is less than inner diameter of joined annular turnings or equal to it. Joined inner surfaces of annular protrusions and turnings may be inclined by the same angle exceeding angle of friction. Radial or axial grooves for placing dowels may be formed on end surface of arbor bead engaging with band and on end surface of band joined with arbor bead. EFFECT: lowered labor consumption for assembling roll, enhanced operational reliability of roll at transmitting rolling effort from band to roll arbor. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex, 1 tbl
