FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed roll comprises axle with collar, roll sleeve fitted on axle with guaranteed radial clearance to stay in contact with axle collar inner end surface. Sleeve axial fastener comprises journal-sleeve with collar fitted on axle to slide thereon to get in contact by sleeve-journal end surface with the sleeve end surface. Nut is screwed on axle threaded end to get in contact by its end surface with sleeve-journal end surface. Axle, sleeve and sleeve-journal are made from ferromagnetic material. End faces of axle collar and that of sleeve-journal in contact with sleeve ends have grooves. Said grooves accommodate flat ring permanent magnets or electric excitation coils. Excitation coils have feed cable laid in the grooves inside the axle and voltage feed contact rings secured at the axle end.
EFFECT: higher friction of contact end surfaces, simplified design and ease of assembly of composite rolls.
