FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes and equipment for metal continuous casting and cooling billets. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes detachable housing with parting zones between walls supporting chocks for guiding rollers restricting zone for passing ingot; reservoirs for secondary cooling of ingot in each zone in direction of drawing ingot out of mold. Each wall of housing has lengthwise and lateral (relative to length of secondary cooling section) ducts. Lateral ducts are mutually connected by means of sealings in parting zones between walls and they form annular receiving cavities embracing paths of ingot passing in different zones. Part of annular cavities whose number is equal to that of zones is communicated with reservoirs for secondary cooling. Remaining annular cavities are communicated with lengthwise ducts having along them successively arranged branch pipes normal to respective duct and connected with each chock of guiding rollers. EFFECT: enhanced quality of billet due to improved accuracy of ingot guiding, increased useful time period of apparatus due to elimination of section deformation, lowered size and enhanced repairability of apparatus. 9 dwg
