FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for production of water- foamed polyurethane materials utilizing specified catalyst as well as to polyurethanes obtained by this method. The latter consists in reaction of polyisocyanate with isocyanate-reactive compound in presence of water and, as catalyst, tin carboxylate and lithium, sodium, potassium, cesium, and/or barium salt of protonic acid having at least 2 acidic hydrogen atoms and pKa value 2 to 10 (in water), and/or protonic acid itself. Rigid polyurethane foam with filling density 3 to 27 kg/cu.m is prepared using indicated reactants and elastic polyurethane is obtained by crushing rigid one. Composition including 0.1-20 wt.parts catalyst, 10-55 wt. parts water, and 35-85 wt.parts polyol or polyol mixture is also described. Foams can be used as damping materials and as sound and thermal insulators in furniture, textile, and automobile industries. EFFECT: optimized production conditions. 12 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
