FIELD: medicine, clinical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: innovation deals with bacteriological testing of clinical material and food products. Nutritive medium suggested contains sulfadimesin or sulfadimethoxin, and dry nutritive agar as the source of nitrogenous nutrition, ammonium salt of -5I, 5II-dibromine-0-cresolsulfophthalein as inhibitor, yolk emulsion as growth stimulant, lithium sulfate, sodium citrate and distilled water in preset quantitative ratio of components. Advantage of this nutritive medium is high selective properties against known medium that enables to isolate Bacillus cereus in pure culture. The advantages represented increase efficiency in predicting Bacillus cereus. The medium is simple to be prepared, requires no sterilization, contains no difficultly available components and could be easily reproduced under conditions of clinical laboratories. EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics. 3 ex, 1 tbl
