FIELD: biotechnology, clinical microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for bacteriological diagnosis of diseases associated with microorganisms of genus Yersinia. Medium contains dry nutrient agar, vitamin preparation "EKD" comprising amino acids and vitamin complex as a growth stimulating agent, mannitol cleaved by microorganisms of genus Yersinia to form acid, inhibitor of gram-positive microflora, bile salts, crystalline violet, neutral red as indicator of acid formation and distilled water in the required ratio of components. The advantage of proposed medium involves inhibitory effect on growth of gram-positive microflora, providing growth of strains Proteus vulgaris in O-form. Also, medium shows high sensitivity and growth of Yersinia colonies is evident in their sowing from the dilution 10-7.
EFFECT: valuable microbiological properties of nutrient medium.
