FIELD: manufacture of coated cylindrical articles with high operational properties. SUBSTANCE: method for applying onto article coating with thickness up to 1000 micrometers and more comprises steps of imparting to article at process of rubbing it rotation around its own axis, movement along axis of brush and in addition reciprocation motion normal relative to brush axis at frequency 0.05-1.5 Hz and amplitude A=(0.5-5)D, where D is diameter of article; setting rotation speed of article in range 0.00005-0.005 m/s. EFFECT: enhanced operational properties of articles due to applied coating. 1 dwg
