FIELD: metallurgy; thermochemical treatment of materials; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heating, saturation in powder-like mixture including chromium- containing component, copper-containing components and corundum followed by cooling; chromizing is performed in powder-like mixture including CrCL3 as chromium-containing component and cuprous oxide as copper-containing component at the following relationship of components, mass-%: CrCL3 chromium chloride, 0.001-30; cuprous oxide, 0.001-2; corundum, 68-99.998. Heating and saturation are performed in hydrogen atmosphere; in the course of heating at temperature of 350-500 C, holding at heat is continued for 5-25 min.
