FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: sensor has additional units arranged in pairs one behind another, with space between pairs being at least half the width of machine. Working spaces between positive and negative electrodes are extending in parallel with warp threads of fabric. Each unit has maximal number of electrodes. Sensor is used for detecting and passing fabric seam through processing devices of cutting, measuring, rejecting and other machines. EFFECT: simplified construction of converter, increased interference-killing feature and provision for precise determination of misalignment. 2 dwg
