FIELD: textile industry, detection of fabric seams in finishing production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for detection of fabric seams has measuring electrode 1, that is member of processing machine, and two measuring electrodes 2 and 3 located on line perpendicular to fabric motion direction. Space between electrodes 2 and 3 depends on necessity to decrease probability of false actions of apparatus. Each of electrodes 2 and 3 is separated from electrode 1 by operation clearances 4, that form two closed contours, that causes formation of two measuring capacities CxCx1 and CxCx2 of sensitive member of apparatus. Apparatus also has converter, that has two automatic generators DD1 and DD2 with connection of measuring capacities CxCx1 and CxCx2 to their inputs correspondingly, and information processing circuit, that has counters of measuring canals DD2.1 ,DD2.2, divider by two DD3.1, AND/NO gates DD4.1, DD4.2, DD4.3, DD4.4, DD10, divider DD5, Synchronous pulses generator has members DD6.1 - DD6.3, NO gate DD6.4 - 6.6. Apparatus also has comparators DD7, DD8, single vibrators DD9.1 AND DD9.2, AND /NOgates - DD10.1, DD10.2, OR / NO GATES - DD11.1, DD11.2, DD11.3, DD11.4, counter DD12 task canal, memory register DD13.
