FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: method is based on formation of diffraction grating in photorefractive crystal with use of two crossing coherent light beams. Filtered radiation is input in crystal along vector of diffraction grating. With this arrangement of recording beams of light and filtered radiation it is possible to select length of wave of diffracted radiation by application of electric field of specified intensity altering refractive index of crystal to crystal as well as by setting length of wave of recording light beams and/or by setting angle between directions of propagation of these light beams.
