SPRINKLER UNIT FOR IRRIGATING SLOPED LANDS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: sprinkler unit has feeler device made in the form of spherical projection with central cylindrical opening and holder put onto spherical projection. Conical recess is formed in upper part of spherical projection at one side thereof. Axis of conical slot is inclined at an angle of 30-40 deg from vertical axis. Its apex is extending through generatrix of cylindrical opening below central axis of sphere at distance of 10-20 mm from it. Holder is put onto spherical projection so that its angle of inclination in vertical plane may be changed. Hemisphere is mounted on holder, with lower part of hemisphere being welded to holder and upper part being made in the form of cylinder equipped with internal thread. Sprinkler head with rigidly fixed sprinkling nozzles is screwed into threaded portion. Inclination angle of sprinkler head is equal to inclination angle of holder. EFFECT: increased efficiency of irrigating sloped lands by changing water jet angle depending on slope of ground. 3 cl, 2 dwg
