FIELD: medicine, in particular, surgery. SUBSTANCE: instrument is composed of two isolated rods with working contact surfaces. One of rods is made hollow and is positioned coaxially with respect to other rod. Working end of internal rod is manufactured from material with form memory effect. Internal rod is introduced into hollow rod to distance providing opening of spiral at working end thereof. Said instrument is used for eliminating varicosities. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing closer contacting with venous vessel wall over the entire section of its surface for reducing zone of thermal damage to adjacent tissues. 1 dwg
