FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: lumbar belt has back part with insert receiving pockets and two sides with fasteners at ends. Fasteners outer surface is made of Velcro loop fabric and inner surface of one fastener is made of Velcro hook fabric. Drawing rod attached with its mid portion to outer surface of back is composed of upper and lower flexible belts connected with their ends arranged in overlapped relation with respect to one another. Back part and sides are manufactured from non-stretchable bordered net. Handle receiving channels are made in drawing rod ends. Handle is composed of members that may be connected to and disconnected from one another, and length of handle may be altered. Handle has rigid tube of length equal to length of channel at drawing rod end and tape passed through said tube. EFFECT: increased hygiene, convenient use, prolonged service life, simplified construction and reduced contamination and wearing of lumbar belt. 2 cl, 2 dwg
