FIELD: technologies of chemical treatment of surfaces; modifying surfaces of hard adsorbents; production of carbon-based filtering materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed method employs aqueous dispersion as modifying solution of silver nanoparticles; aqueous dispersion is obtained from inversely-micellar solution of silver nanoparticles on base of surfactant in nonpolar solvent. Concentration of silver nanoparticles in aqueous dispersion is selected within interval 2×10-4-3×10-3 g-ion/l. Concentration of surfactant does not exceed 1.5%. Carbon material is kept in modified solution of silver nanoparticles for at least 9 hours. Then, carbon material is washed with distilled water to obtain concentration of surfactant in flushing water not higher than 0.1 mg/l. EFFECT: reduced duration of process. 4 cl, 6 dwg
