FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brakes of rolling stock. Proposed device has wheelset with wheels, axle and axle boxes, brake cylinder, brake shoes, levers, suspension and braces. Brake surface is made on inner side of wheel rim, and brackets on which suspensions and levers of brake shoes are secured, are installed on wheelset axle box or on bogie frame over axle box. EFFECT: reduced wear of wheel, its flange and rails, improved safety of running gear on long-distance downgrades. 3 cl, 3 dwg
