FIELD: engineering equipment of army. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for making bridgeworks over canals, narrow rivers, gullies and other obstacles. Proposed bridge layer consists of base machine, bridge, power transmission to bridge mounting mechanism and mechanism for locking bridge truss in traveling position. Novelty is that bridge layer contains two floating engine-transmission sections and one central section suspended in between and installed with possibility of disengagement. Bridge is transported on central section with resting on engine-transmission sections. Power transmission to bridge mounting mechanism and mechanism for locking bridge in traveling position are located on central section which is provided with jacks and telescopic supports providing possibility of its disengagement from engine-transmission sections and mounting in fixed position. EFFECT: increased angles of lifting and lowering of bridge and width of negotiated obstacles. 5 dwg
