FIELD: spraying liquids in power engineering, metal-working, chemical, and other industries. SUBSTANCE: mechanical steam injector has body with central bore for spraying liquid and peripheral holes for introducing spraying agent, filter, sprayer with tangential fuel channels, steam swirler with tangential steam channels, conical-surface steam nozzle, and external union nut; novelty is that tangential steam channels of steam swirler measure at inlet through their height 1.2 to 2 of their size at outlet made in the form of bevel formed due to passage through conical surface and that swirling steam flow in steam channels of swirler opposes that of liquid in fuel channels of sprayer. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and utilization of spraying agent potential energy; simplified design of injector. 4 cl, 3 dwg
