FIELD: mechanical engineering and metal-working industry; indirect metal heating devices of furnaces. SUBSTANCE: dead-end tube has radiating case, recuperative burner employing double-stage air supply to gas space and coaxial pipes arranged in recuperator to form slit-type waste-gas and air ducts, as well as flame tube installed at certain space from burner nozzle; radiating case and flame tube are solid structures made of fire-proof ceramic; ratio between burner nozzle diameter and its distance from fire tube is 0.5-0.8. Slit-type waste-gas duct disposed inside recuperator is formed by walls of internal and peripheral slit-type air ducts; peripheral air duct is two-way duct free to turn through 180 deg. at its far-end tab. Dead-end radiant tube is provided with individual gas and air shut-off valves and also with gas- air ratio control ensuring its functioning at one optimal power. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability and safety in wide temperature range. 3 cl, 2 dwg
