FIELD: shoe industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting openings by breaking-through members rigidly attached on spring-loaded plate above respective openings of perforating plate. Openings are cut on the basis of inclined scissors formed of cutting edges of at least one breaking-through member and face of at least one respective opening of perforating plate. Each breaking-through member is provided at its lower part with bore cut by means of two spherical segments arranged tangentially with respect to one another and having radii equal to radius of breaking-through member. Each opening in perforating plate is made conical and has diameter at end facing to bore equal to diameter of said bore. Inclination angle of generatrix of said conical opening is within the range of 30-32 deg. Spring-loaded plate reciprocates in vertical plane for breaking through of openings while moving from the top to the bottom. Method may be used in other branches of industry, where obtaining of through holes in articles from natural, synthetic or artificial leathers is needed.
