METHOD FOR MAKING BONE AUTOPLASTY OF FALSE ARTICULATION OF NAVICULAR HAND BONE WITH GRAFT ON PEDICLE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves using styloid process autograft of radial bone with its connection to ligamentum collaterale carpi radiale and surrounding soft tissues being retained. Surgical intervention is carried out under regional or local anesthesia. False articulation of navicular hand bone is selected from S- shaped incision using dorsoradial access method. Sclerosed splitter ends and fibrous tissue is cut out between them and bone transplant is cut out having styloid process and spongious radial bone metaphysis with its connection to the ligamentum collaterale carpi radiale being retained. The graft is turned by 90 deg on the ligamentum collaterale carpi and built in between the bone fragments. The graft is fixed with two Kirschner wires. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; avoided adhesion failure recurrence. 4 dwg
