SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition for washing keratin materials containing in cosmetically acceptable medium at least one anionic surface-active washing agent, at least one oxyethyleneted sorbitan ester with saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched aliphatic C₈-C₃₀-acid where number of ethylene oxide mole is below or equal to 10. Weight ratio of anionic washing surface- -active agent to sorbitan ester with aliphatic C₈-C₃₀-acid is from 0.5 to 5. Invention relates also to the usage of the above-mentioned sorbitan ester with aim to attenuate irritating effect of eye and improve thickening property of composition for washing keratin materials and to method of washing keratin materials.
