FIELD: acceleration and control of direction of fluid medium by means of continuous dynamic surface; sea-going ships and aircraft. SUBSTANCE: system for setting in motion by means of acceleration and control of direction of fluid medium has continuous dynamic surface for circulation through fluid medium from intake zone where fluid medium is brought to dynamic surface to thrust zone where fluid medium is removed from dynamic surface. Dynamic surface accelerates fluid medium approximately to acceleration of surface so that layer of accelerated fluid medium should be created from intake zone through thrust zone. For setting the dynamic surface in motion, engine is connected to said surface. Located near dynamic surface is separator plate which has leading edge for separation of layer of accelerated fluid medium from dynamic surface and practically flat driving surface adjoining leading edge for obtaining required direction of accelerated fluid medium. Separator plate may be located relative to dynamic surface in such way that edge is located in immediate proximity of dynamic surface and driving surface is tangential relative to dynamic surface for at least part of thrust zone.
