FIELD: powder metallurgy; production of powders of chemically active metals. SUBSTANCE: powder with particle linear sizes within 0.1-6.0 mm is produced by milling of cylindrical blank rotating round its axis parallel to milling cutter rotating axis by varying of ratio of rotational speeds blank and milling cutter, milling cutter feed rate and size of its cutting edge. In this case, ratio of blank rotational speed and cutting mill rotational speed is maintained within 1/100-1/1000.
