FIELD: electro-physico-chemical working processes, namely power sources for electrochemical working. SUBSTANCE: generator includes single-phase transformer whose primary winding is connected to mains voltage and whose secondary winding is connected through power thyristor with interelectrode gap shunted by means of diode in reverse direction. In parallel relative to power thyristor through switching thyristor LC-circuit having connected in series capacitor and inductance is connected. In parallel relative to said LC-circuit are connected: recharging winding of transformer through recharging thyristor and circuit of two equal connected in opposite and in series recharging and switching transformer windings through shunting thyristor. Such circuit of generator provides stable operation in wide range of change of worked area at formation of output voltage pulses having sharp leading and back fronts and matched by their waveform with change of interelectrode gap. EFFECT: enhanced power and efficiency, lowered cost of generator. 2 dwg
