FIELD: electrophysical and electrochemical processes for working metals in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of providing forced oscillations of one electrode synchronized with voltage pulses having sharp leading and back edges descending at mutual approaching of electrodes. Shapes of pulses of technological voltage are matched with change of interelectrode gap in order to provide almost rectangular shapes of electric current pulses. In zone of voltage pulse termination voltage is reduced from maximum value until value less than voltage necessary for electric arc burning and sufficient for keeping potential of anode transpassive dissolution. Pulse is terminated directly before zone of possible contact. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of dimensional working, elimination of electric erosion of electrodes. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
