METHOD OF ELIMINATING LEAKAGE OF INTEGRAL TANKS USING ONE-SIDE APPLICATION OF ANAEROBIC HERMETIC Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: sealing materials. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes elimination of leakage in integral tanks by means of anaerobic hermetic applied with the aid of paintbrush onto outside surface of tank and exposing coated zone to pressure of the order of 2 kg/sq.cm. More particularly: (1) integral tank is freed of kerosene by purging the construction with compressed air in the leakage hole zone; (2) construction is degreased in this zone with acetone or gasoline and dried for 10 min; (3) degreased zone is coated by hermetic; (4) pressure of the order of 2 kg/sq.cm is imposed for 30 sec with the aid of hose from industrial air system or from compressed-air cylinder through reduction vent; (5) hermetic is aged inside leakage hole for 20 min at 15-20 C and atmospheric pressure; (6) operations 3-5 are repeated; and (7) excess hermetic is removed from construction with the aid of cloth. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing.
