FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; making anisotropic electrical steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes melting, hot and cold rolling, decarburizing annealing , applying heat-resistant coat, high- temperature annealing, applying insulating coat and homogenizing annealing. After high-temperature annealing, rolled steel is subjected to additional annealing in moistened nitrogen-hydrogen mixture at the following content of gases, %: nitrogen, 15-25; hydrogen, 75-85; steel is held at heat for 19-21 h, after which it is cooled in dry hydrogen under cap to temperature of rolls of 190-250 C in definite zone of furnace.
