FIELD: well drilling, particularly, methods and technical facilities for drilling in hard rocks of prospecting and development wells, including horizontal and complicated directional wells in oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: rock cutting is effected by continuously rotating mechanical tool with pulses of superhigh frequency energy reducing rock strength. In this case, mechanical instrument is rotated at frequency depending on pulse duration. Device for method embodiment provides for superhigh frequency energy transmission to well bottom with the help of H01 type wave through hollow flexible continuous drill pipe with low losses. Electromagnetic wave radiator is made in the form of cylindrical transmission adjustable resonator. EFFECT: higher efficiency of superhigh frequency electrothermomechanical drilling process. 3 cl, 5 dwg
