FIELD: pipe line transport for gas. SUBSTANCE: volume of gas escaping through shut- off fittings via vent pipe is determined by frequency of oscillations of valve plate which is fitted hermetically at preliminary interference; it throttles periodically escape of gas from vent pipe into atmosphere. Device proposed for realization of this method includes vent pipe located vertically whose inlet is hermetically connected with outlet of shut-off fittings and outlet is provided with protective cap having holes for escape of gas into atmosphere. Exhaust valve system mounted at vent pipe outlet is provided with frequency measuring sensor . Valve of exhaust valve system has rod rigidly connected with valve and movably mounted in guide bush; motion of said rod is noted by sensor.
