FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: process includes placement of article in accumulation chamber and leak measurement by speed of motion of liquid piston in clear measurement line connected with one space to accumulation chamber and with another space to standard chamber. Tested article is filled with working gas or is vacuumed before test and atmospheric pressure is set in accumulation and standard chambers. Clear measurement line includes capillary conduit and liquid of low viscosity, low pressure of saturated vapors and density up to 2.0 g/cu cm is utilized in the capacity of piston. Accumulation chamber can have minimal volume sufficient to locate tested article. Standard chamber can be structurally identical to accumulation chamber. Article such as tested article can be placed into standard chamber. Article in standard chamber can be filled with gas in advance or can contain no gas. Standard chamber can have larger volume than accumulation chamber. EFFECT: increased accuracy and shortened measurement period. 5 cl
