Abstract RU 2204130 C2

FIELD: nondestructive inspection of pipes of main pipe-line transport. SUBSTANCE: magnetic system of device comes in the form of two U-shaped circuits place one inside another. In process of inspection magnetic circuits are closed by wall of tested pipe. Magnetic field pickups are located in interpole space along line of magnetic neutral. Line of magnetic neutral forms together with generating line of pipe angle of 45 degrees. Installation of external circuit prevents spreading of magnetic flux. Formula of invention gives relations of distances between elements of magnetic circuits and thickness of pipe ensuring effective prevention of spread of magnetic flux. As result there is no necessity of installation of flexible magnetic circuits-brushes between magnetic unit and pipe and magnetization in pipe grows. Device provides for detection of both longitudinal and lateral flaws. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of device. 2 dwg
