FIELD: flaw detection in pipes of trunk-lines. SUBSTANCE: device has magnetization unit 1, magnetic field detectors 3, which are arranged in pairs for measuring field intensity along different axes of rectangular coordinate system and are connected to main amplifier 4 and additional amplifier 5. In addition device has flaw field detection unit 6, background field detection unit, unit 8 which adds background field and flaw fields, comparator 9 and information processing unit 10. Distance between pairs of detectors is less than 5 mm. System of detectors 3 simultaneously measures at least ten field characteristics which provide possibility of precise detection of flaw type taking into account background field.
