FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: mechanism consists of pressure bushing secured on one axle with outer lever moving under action of pressed-on accelerator pedal and drive shaft whose upper end is furnished with spiral bevel gear in meshing with spiral bevel gear of camshaft with gear ratio equal to 1. Camshaft controls operation of intake valve of internal combustion engine cylinder. Lower end of drive shaft is furnished with gear moving along splines on drive shaft and engaging with multiple-start worm on end of crankshaft with gear ration equal to 2. Pressure fork thrusts against upper end face of spiral bevel gear through support bearing. Travel of lever is limited at one side by idling adjustment bolt and at other side, by gasoline grade selector. Invention provides fuel economy at low and medium loads of engine and possibility of operation on different grades of gasoline. EFFECT: increased service life of engine. 1 dwg
