FIELD: certification and testing of gyros in process of laboratory, factory and approval tests. SUBSTANCE: salient feature of method consists in that gyro is positioned on biaxial tilting-swivel table. Several measurement positions are specified by way of rotation of tilting-swivel table through fixed angles so that opposite measurement positions exist in which values of one or two angles specifying rotation data differ by 180 degrees. Summary drift of gyro and projection of angular velocity of diurnal rotation of the Earth in given positions of tilting-swivel table are measured. Components of drift of gyro with exclusion of effect of vector of angular velocity of diurnal rotation of the Earth are found. Method provides for complete calibration of gyro, does not require conducting high-precision and very expensive measurements of position latitude, azimuthal bearing and deviation of plumb line, diminishes labor input to calibration by way of elimination of operations of fine alignment of external axis of tilting-swivel table orthogonally with celestial axis in each measurement position, increases calibration precision by conducting measurements in optimal positions of tilting-swivel table. EFFECT: improved functional reliability of method. 3 cl, 3 dwg
